At Bradley's Jewellers, we put customers at the heart of everything we do in a way that's in-keeping with our York jewellery heritage. From the smallest charms to engagement rings, signet rings and diamond-set wedding bands, we place equal emphasis on making your jewellery experience perfect.
As a forward-thinking and award-winning independent jeweller, we are constantly striving to offer you the most diverse choice with the best possible ethical, environmental and sustainable credentials. Our collections feature natural diamonds, coloured gemstones, laboratory-grown diamonds and Single Mine Origin (SMO) Gold to allow you to make an informed and educated decision. We are here to support your values and provide accurate information about sustainable jewellery and climate neutral jewellery.
It all starts with our extensive range of luxury diamond and coloured gemstone jewellery: all our precious stones are hand-selected by members of the Bradley family. They are then matched to the perfect design and set in precious metals by British craftsmen using traditional techniques. This is why our independent jewellers is a York destination and a must-visit for locals and tourists alike.
We invest in our team to ensure they are knowledgeable and professionally qualified to advise on all aspects of jewellery, from diamond tennis bracelets to 9ct gold signet rings. Their expertise spans diamonds, coloured gemstones, pearls, watches, silverware… even antique engagement rings. The staff in our York jewellers are educated to AnchorCert Standards and qualified to JET Standards by our governing body, the National Association of Jewellers.
We have exceptionally high standards and strong values as an independent jeweller. The Bradley family is present across all levels of the business and our owner, Kay Bradley, designs bespoke jewellery pieces for her international clients. We support the British manufacturing community and share its values of excellence, loyalty and attention to detail. It is what our customers have come to expect from us in over 50 years of service and it is what makes them return to our store: this is the Bradley’s Difference.
Our 500-year-old, Grade II Listed Building is one of the most iconic jewellery shops in York, located on Low Petergate and overlooked by the spectacular York Minster Cathedral – the oldest Gothic building in England with the largest stained glass Rose Window in Europe.
The building itself was a former apothecary, which has today been beautifully restored by the Bradley family to its magnificent Dickensian stature: from the original monochrome façade to its intimate low ceilings, wooden beams and oak-panelled splendour. This quirky little trove of treasures and trinkets results in a truly, unique and romantic shopping experience.
